Our Mission

We strive to transform education in Canada by ensuring that Black students thrive within and beyond the current school system. By connecting Black educators and advocates nationwide, CBENN builds strong networks that promote inclusion, culturally relevant curricula, and equitable opportunities.

Our Objectives

  • Fellowship: Create spaces where educators, parents, and students can engage in shared best practices.
  • Mentorship: Act as resource and support for Black student associations, both at the high school and the college and university level.
  • Educational Resource Repository: Build a national repository for research, data, and tools to implement strategies that lead to measurable outcomes for Black student success.
  • National Networking: Strengthen and connect Black educators across Canada to share expertise and foster collective impact.
  • Financial Literacy & Cooperative Economics (Susunomics): Provide programs and workshops that develop financial literacy and community-driven economics and empowerment.
  • S.T.E.M.: Encourage and support education in the area of emerging AI development.
